Waiver and Release

You agree to the waiver and release as outlined in the details below.

The RHGA is a non-profit organization and relies wholly upon its members to assist with the Group’s operations. Every member is encouraged to be active and help maintain the Mill Pond Gallery and its facilities. Please indicate where you feel you can be of most assistance to the Group. A committee member will contact you to discuss your volunteering options.

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP fee is $50. Reduced rate applies to all students 18 years or older currently in high school or post-secondary education, residing in Richmond Hill.

All art shows and sales of the Richmond Hill Group of Artists are restricted to original 2-dimensional works of art created in any medium, including but not limited to watercolour, acrylic, oil, pastel, fiber/textile, encaustic, or mixed media. Board members have the right to screen all applications for membership acceptance. Prints, photographs, crafts, such as jewelry, tole painting, folk art, pottery and other crafts are not accepted in any shows.

Waiver and Release:
In consideration of the acceptance of my application for membership including programs, outreach programs, demos, workshops, meeting and related services (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Programs”) offered by the Richmond Hill Group of Artists (“RHGA”), I, for myself, my heirs, executors, estate trustees, administrators, successors and assigns, waive any claims to which I may become entitled for injury or damage, and hereby release RHGA and all their representatives, agents, instructors and directors and any other persons assisting in providing the Programs, from any claims for damages or injury suffered by me as a result of my participation in the Programs. Programs and offerings, such as exhibition opportunities may be subject to change as needed by RHGA. I also hereby give my permission for the free use of my name, image and artwork in any broadcast, telecast, website, newsletter, newspaper, media or other form of publicity. I have carefully read and understand the terms of my enrollment in the RHGA.

*Please note –
The Richmond Hill Group of Artists has implemented Covid 19 protocols at the Mill Pond Gallery that adhere to Provincial Regulations and Public Health recommendations for Phase 3 re-opening. The RHGA re-opening plan has been reviewed and approved by the City of Richmond Hill, from who we lease the Mill Pond Gallery. The RHGA will not assume any liability in the event that anyone using the facility becomes sick.
