The Richmond Hill Group of Artists has implemented Covid 19 protocols at the Mill Pond Gallery that adhere to Provincial Regulations and Public Health recommendations. The RHGA re-opening plan has been reviewed and approved by the City of Richmond Hill from who the Mill Pond Gallery is leased.  The RHGA will not assume any liability in the event that anyone using the facility becomes sick.

About Instructor Khatcho Yazedjian

Khatcho Yazedjian

Immigrated to Canada in 1970. In 1961 after 4 years of study, graduated from Italian Art Schools Leonardo Da Vinci’s Technical and Architectural draftsman. Khatcho has been a member of RHGA since 1977. His preferred medium is watercolour, which he utilizes to depict Canadian landscape and wildlife with mystique and transparency.

A 30 year career in Graphic Design included implementing and teaching a Computer Graphics Training program at the GCIU Local 500m for unemployed union members, teaching Continuing Education at George Brown College, creating and publishing a Children’s Art and Activity Journal for the new millennium and numerous volunteer art projects with her children’s schools and various Girl Guide units in and around Thornhill. A love of art and a desire for change has inspired her to pursue art full time and now dedicates most of her time to developing and promoting her artwork and teaching.

There are some essential questions when you start your art work as an artist:
Why am I creating this work?  What inspires me?  What do I have to say?  What do I love about Art?  What do I need to learn to express my idea?

The answers to the questions above are what you will find through Flora’s painting classes. She teaches you how to experience different materials to grow your creativity, how to take risks to invent your style, how to break rules, making mistakes and having fun, how to feel fulfill as an artist. You will have an exploration of art by using different mediums, styles, techniques, drawing & painting.

Flora teaches oil, acrylic, watercolor and colored pencils for beginners and intermediate students. In her classes you will learn all about colors’ theory, focusing on how to make a vast variation of colors’ combination, and art fundamentals. She teaches how to paint different kind of flowers and trees fast and easy by using Alla prima technique etc…

Roxana Khoshsokhan

Roxana Khoshsokhan (BEEROX) is a designer, sculptor, graphic and visual artist. 
She was born and raised in a family of artists and art-lovers, so it was natural for her to pursue a creative education, earning a BofA in Industrial Design and a Masters Degree in Car Design and Mobility from the world renowned Domus Academy, Milan.
Roxana worked for a variety of luxury brands including Audi Design, Christian Grande Yacht Design, Gino Finizio Design Management and LG electronics. Roxana continued her education at George Brown College in Toronto studying Fashion Techniques and Design and subsequently worked in the fashion design industry.

Roxana is following her passion to create and teach.  
She teaches children’s courses for the York Region Catholic District School Board and the Mill Pond Gallery.

Summer July Programs

This is a program of basic art in a variety of media. The students are a mix of ages and abilities; sometimes working from one still life, learning about perspective, form pattern & composition or on individual works. They work in pencil, pencil crayon, ink, watercolour & acrylic. I am always striving to improve their motor skills, an understanding of shapes, imagination and creativity, in a fun, positive, nurturing environment.
