Michelle Richards-Clermont

After graduating OCA in 1990 I continued working in graphic design for print. I taught myself each program I needed to use, and quickly rose to the top of the pile of limited computer operators. My design career was fast-paced, exciting, and my skill set quickly expanded. I began training sales personnel & co-workers and created a re-training program for the Graphics Union. This led to teaching co-ed at George Brown, and began my love for sharing my artistic skills through teaching at community art events. I began teaching art at the RHGA in 2014.
I am a professional artist, with decades of creating emotionally driven pieces. I use the medium that suits my intention, be it watercolours, oils, drawing or experimenting with new methods and techniques. I not only enjoy the act of creating, but I also love the entire journey. An idea or inspiration is just the starting point, it needs to be nurtured, limits pushed, & possibilities explored. By this method it is brought to life through dedication, emotional connection, attention to detail, and trust in myself to do exactly what is right. My favourite space to create in is the great outdoors whether its a secluded location or at a community event you cant beat the creative energy supplied by mother nature
