Kathy is a third generation artist, following in the footsteps of her father and grandmother. Art has always been an integral part of her life; not just a creative outlet but also a passion. She studied art and music in high school and continued with art at Dawson College.
Her preferred medium is acrylics but she also paints in oil and watercolour, as well as dabbling with inks and pencils.
Kathy made the switch from a career in travel and technology to working as a pet portrait artist. She started out with commissions for mostly floral and animal paintings until the demand for pet portraits took over.
Working primarily out of her home studio, she likes to occasionally paint with others at the Mill Pond Gallery and at a studio in Boca Raton, Florida, whenever possible. Connecting with the art community can be very inspiring and this has given Kathy the encouragement to take the leap and become an artist full time.
