Heather Hennick, BA, RGD, DTATI is a Registered Graphic Designer, a professionally exhibiting and award winning visual artist, currently practicing encaustic art, fiber art and multi mediums. She is a professional art therapist whose experience includes Mackenzie Health Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, the Canadian Mental Health Association and the Reena Foundation. Heather has facilitated workshops for the Ontario Art Therapy Association and developed an art therapy program at the Newmarket Healthcare Centre in Geriatrics and long-term care and currently runs art as therapy at a Scarborough Retirement Residence. Heather currently facilitates the therapeutic ‘Circle of Energy in Encaustic and multi mediums’ at the Mill Pond Gallery. She also runs a creative healing practice focusing on recovery of wellness, mental health, compassion fatigue and burnout for families, adults of all ages and professionals.
