Artist’s Statement – Ashraf SheibaniaghdamI am an abstract and expressionist painter inspired by the limitlesspossibilities of color, texture, and form. My work is a journey into
the depths of human emotion, where bold hues and dynamic brushstrokes
intertwine to convey raw energy and personal storytelling. Each piece
reflects my desire to push the boundaries of abstract expressionism
while capturing the essence of life’s complexities.As an associate professor of Persian language, my academic journey has
shaped my thoughtful and reflective approach to art. I draw
inspiration from both the natural world and the human experience,
allowing my emotions to guide each stroke and color choice. My
paintings aim to create a visual language that resonates with the
viewer, inviting them to find their own stories within the layers of
paint.
Beyond painting, I am equally passionate about breathing new life into
vintage furniture. I find joy in restoring and reimagining classic
pieces, blending their history with a modern touch to create unique,
soulful decor. This passion for renewal and transformation mirrors my
artistic journey—an ongoing process of growth, experimentation, and
creative expression.
