Oil/Acrylic Painting
Wednesday Afternoon and Wednesday Evening – Beginners/Intermediate
My teaching style encourages students to express themselves using either oil or acrylic paint. Each student has their own style reflective of their personality; their understanding of the subject that they’re painting, and their ability to apply paint. I coach and help the student to further develop their individual style, or a style of their choice, whether it be more realistic, abstract or a looser style.
Whether painting in oil or acrylic some things are a must: such as, good composition, an understanding of drawing, perspective (both linear & colour) and form pattern (values). We will discuss what works and where to make improvements.
For the past 35 years I have coached hundreds of students in a fun, but very informative style. I still love to teach.

About Instructor Olga Senyk
Olga Senyk
My classes have been developed over 35 years of ‘on the spot’ teaching throughout Ontario, continually evaluating, improving and developing my teaching style.
Each student is an individual wanting to express themselves through a particular medium such as oil or acrylic. It’s very personal.
I can quickly evaluate the student’s level of understanding of drawing, perspective, form pattern, and colour theory through an exercise they do in the first class, along with our conversation.
My desire is to help and coach each student to further develop their individual painting style, (of choice), along with good painting knowledge and practical skills, which allow them to joyously paint at home.
