July 28 – The power of light and shadows. There is a saying in art that if you get the shadows right it will look like the subject. We will be exploring man made structures and portraits.

 

August Workshops 1:30-4:30

 

August 4 – Down Memory Lane with the Modern Masters – Test your visual memory with Timed drawings and art challenges.

 

August 11 -Waterworld – using vellum we will be creating watercolour like effects using acrylics, and markers.

 

Aug 18 – REAL Silk Screen Printing using a drawing fluid – students will make their personal icon or avatar or logo type and then silk screen onto a t-shirt or sketchbook/journal cover. I will provide one item to silkscreen but they can bring other items (shirts, back pack, basically anything that is fabric). Please provide option when registering (t-shirt & size or book cover).

 

Aug 25 – Mash-Up Day – old World Techniques, and Modern New World materials – this one will be fun – think dogs playing poker painting – we are going to mash up the Master’s work with modern colours/fashions/transportation/situations etc. 

These are 3 hour workshops – we will complete one project per day.

 

Fee for workshop is $60 each including materials. Class size is limited to 8 students max.  Limited spaces remaining.
