LANDSCAPE
3 Perspectives
Join Andrea, Greg and Silvija as they present their individual interpretations of the landscapes meaningful to them.
Andrea will be showing a series of linocut reduction prints. In this print making technique the block is destroyed in the making of the artwork. A metaphor for our behaviour these glimpses into the forest invite you to pause and reflect. Andrea will be demonstrating this technique and showing work in progress. This project is funded in part by the Town of Richmond Hill’s Community and Culture Grant program.
Whether it is plein air sketches or studio watercolour or pastel, Greg strives to capture the wonder and majesty of the natural landscape. Join him as he continues his painting journey to capture the grandeur and beauty of his latest hiking adventures in Texas, Tennessee and Switzerland.
My vision of landscapes is expressed with loose, broad brush strokes. Dancing Pines is inspired by a group of pines that seemingly move to and fro as the breeze blows. The silhouette of these trees is so enchanting; the movement of one pine next to the other giving the impression of a forested dance. Working in mixed media, I will often finish my smaller pieces with resin. Silvija
