Join Karen Bowen for a workshop 4 hour workshop, where you painters can try this technique and create their own oil-cold wax landscape.
Date: Sunday, October 25 from 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Members: $75 Non Members: $95
Material Fee: $20 (paid to Karen directly at the Workshop – specify at time of registration)
Note: Karen will supply the cold wax.
Karen will demonstrate one of her mediums, oil paint with cold wax on birch panel at the RHGA meeting September 14th.

MATERIALS LIST
Students bring:
- 2 palette knives (1-2″ small; 2-5″ long); plastic or metal
- 1-2 birch panels, pre-primed (gessoed), 12 x 12″ or slightly larger (max 16″) OR hard-mounted canvas, pre-primed
- oil paints (not water-based; any collection of colours they usually use)
- 2 brushes (one small, 1/2 cm or so; one medium, 1-2 cm)
- waxed disposable palette paper (2-3 sheets)
- water, snacks
- painting shirt or smock
Extra $20 material fee will include (Instructor to provide):
- oil paints
- palette knives
- 1 birch panel or mounted canvas
- palette paper
- brushes
