Tamara Patenaude was born in Montreal, moved to Ontario as a child, and studied at Toronto University. Later she received her graduate degree in education at the University of Western Sydney. She is married to her high school sweetheart, has 2 loving sons and lastly, has one crazy, farm dog named Jasper. She taught visual arts during her teaching career and started portrait quilting in 2012. Her love for fabrics and texture is what drives her to create interesting details in her work. Tamara enjoys creating portraits of wildlife and pets.
(She has a soft spot for dogs.)
