Natasha Lehman was born in Toronto and now calls Markham and Clarksburg home. She is a contemporary landscape artist. She paints in a semi abstract expressive style with bold use of colour, shapes and lines. Her preferred subject matter is scenes from nature including trees, roots, hills, beach and water scenes. Inspired in part by the beautiful surroundings of Georgian Bay where her studio is. An intuitive painter, some of her works are more abstract where the viewer will make their own narrative about the piece. Inspired by the constantly changing forms, shapes and colours she sees in nature, she takes apart the image and puts it back together, to evoke the same calm and wonder found in nature. Most of her work is acrylic on canvas, although some pieces are done in oils and pastels.
