Deborah Briggs is a Richmond Hill painter. Primarily a watercolour artist, she paints in oil and acrylic, as well. Deborah has studied with a variety of respected and skilled artists. “Learning is a life long and a day to day process. It is highly satisfying and joyful to accomplish what you set out to do. I try to convey a thought, a feeling, the essence of a subject that somehow excites me . I hope that in putting my experience on paper or canvas, I can share that feeling. I work primarily from photographs, often from my travels. I paint the individuals and places that touch me. I have a great love and respect for nature and for people.”
Participating in personal and juried shows, Deborah is the recipient of the Ruth Caverly Rabinowich Award, The Mill Pond Gallery Award and the People’s Choice Award.
Her work is represented in homes in Canada and the United States.
